Paddlers Park

We are experiencing some drainage problems with the water feature and until these are resolved we cannot turn on the water on. We are currently investigating this and hope it will soon be working properly.   In May, the children’s play area will be fenced off  for a week or so as all the old ‘wet pour’ safety surface is being removed and new installed. Some seem to delight in picking at the edges and making holes here. Not only does it look terrible but it becomes unsafe for youngsters to climb, swing etc. If you want the play area to remain open, the surface has to be renewed but to do all this work is costing almost £12,000! Please, please when the work is complete, stop anyone you see trying to damage this. Be aware that by then CCTV will be operational- culprits will be seen! A dolphin springer will be added to the play area while the surfacing is replaced and repairs to the scramble net on the big city climbing frame which has been in place for over 10 years will also be carried out.
